Assignments
Students will be expected to keep a personal journal
that will be delivered to the instructor in class on the last Thursday of each month. The purpose of the journal is to record the progress of your own theological reflection on this topic. Only the instructor will read your journal and its contents will be confidential. The journal should reflect your attempt to synthesize the course readings, class discussions, and your own ideas. It is NOT a diary, but an effort to write a coherent account of your thinking. There is no minimum number of pages; nor is there a maximum number of journal entries. However, your journal should contain no less than ten entries [about one entry per week]
Students will also write two brief reflection papers [5-7pages] and a term paper
[15-25pp]. The term paper may be developed from the reflection papers or be on another topic chosen by the student.
