1. Be sure you have mastered the hand-out on early Christian
eschatology. Many of these items will apply to the questions
below. All items on that handout are possible questions for the
quiz.
2. Paul believes that the resurrection of Jesus is not just about
one man but it foreshadows a general resurrection of the dead.
How does he express the matter and from what Old Testament text might
he derive this notion?

8. Seitz writes in Word Without End: The Old Testament as
Abiding Theological Witness (Grand Rapids, Eerdmans, 1998), page
227: "the larger point is that the horizon of Isaiah in respect
of royal promises is not a past fulfillment in Jesus that validates
Christian hopes and invalidates those of Jews." Explain.
