David O'Connor is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Concurrent Associate Professor of Classics. His main teaching and research interests are in ancient philosophy, ethics and political philosophy, and philosophy and literature. Professor O'Connor recently edited and introduced The Symposium of Plato: The Shelley Translation, and is working on the relationship between skepticism and Platonism in Percy Bysshe Shelley, Ralph Waldo Emerson, William Butler Yeats, and Wallace Stevens.
