Homework

When turning in homework (problem sets), it is important for them to be easy to read. Writing homework is a way of practicing for exams.  It also provides practice for communicating technical ideas in writing, which is a skill that is crucial in almost every employment setting.

10260 Instructors Office Hours

Office hours are available to Notre Dame students who are enrolled in this course.  If you are a student at another university enrolled in a Calculus course, consult your syllabus or professor about when the professor is available for student questions.

Math Department Help Sessions

These help sessions are administered by the Notre Dame Mathematics department for Notre Dame students who are currently registered for either Math 10250 or 10260.  Each session is attended by an advanced Notre Dame undergraduate student with excellent proficiency in mathematics. (Click here for details.)

Learning Resource Center (LRC)

The Learning Resource Center at Notre Dame provides learning resources for current Notre Dame students. (Refer to the Fall 2009 Schedule.)

  • The LRC is a part of the First Year of Studies. Among the many services provided to the first year students, it offers the Tutoring Program, the Collaborative Learning Program, and a series of Mathematics Help Sessions. The purpose of these programs is to assist the students with their proficiency in mathematics.
  • IMPORTANT: Both Tutoring Program and Collaborative Learning Program require sign up. Once you have signed up you will be expected to attend all tutoring or collaborative learning sessions. If you are unable to attend a session, call the LRC in order to obtain an excused absence. Two absences may result in dismissal, and readmission cannot be guaranteed.
    • LRC Math Help Sessions are held weekly for two hours to students who have questions regarding homework or concepts. (Walk-in sessions, no sign up required, for current Notre Dame students)
    • Collaborative Learning Program (Sign up required at LRC, for current Notre Dame students)
    • Tutoring Program (Sign up required at LRC, for current Notre Dame students)
Once weekly for two hours; time and room arranged with LRC.
