Prof. Sandra Harmatiuk received her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame with a major in Old and Middle English Language/Literature. She has always had a strong interest in the teaching of writing and critical reading and a commitment to providing students with a high level of personal attention. In addition to teaching "Making the Academic Transition to College," she also teaches "Advanced Strategies for Discipline Specific Study."  As Director of the Learning Strategies Program, she works with individual students who are interested in improving reading and writing skills, as well as various learning strategies.
