Assignment: Hour 8
Create a frame-by-frame animation- In a new FLA file, draw a small car, using the rectangle and oval tools.
Don't worry about making it pretty. - Convert the car into a movie clip
- In a new layer, use the pencil tool to draw a hill
- Place the car at the bottom of the hill on the left side, just off the stage
- Click on frame 2 in the car layer and add a keyframe
- Move the car a bit to the right
- Repeat steps 4-5, adding a new keyframe in the car layer each time
- Continue until the car leaves the right side of the screen and the other side of the hill
- Test the movie
- Save-and-compact the file, then submit FLA and SWF files
Your final movie should look something like this
In Class Exercise: Animation 1
- Use images of your choice (try Barry's Clip Art or elsewhere) to create a frame-by frame animation.
- Import your chosen images into a new Flash file and turn them into movie clips.
- Create a background or import one (you might like one of Barry's "landscapes")
- To edit the images, break them apart, then use the eraser and other graphics tools.
- Keep your items in separate layers - and name all of your layers. Remember that you can lock and hide layers.
- Try to animate more than one item.
- When you are done, save-and-compact the FLA file and submit it.
