Assignment: Hour 5
- Download and open chap05-start.fla
- Save a copy of the file under a new name
(this gives you the option of going back to a "clean" original later) - Convert two of the images provided in the library into symbols
- In separate layers, place an instance of one symbol over another
- Apply a blend
- In a new layer, draw a shape
- Fill the shape with a colored gradient
- In a new layer, add some text
- Apply a filter to the text
- Save-and-compact the file

- Create an account in Flickr
- Requires Yahoo Account
- For privacy settings, see "Your Account"
- Personal Information
- Privacy & Permissions - you need not make your work accessible
- If you choose to limit access to your images, make the professor one of your contacts

- Edit an image
- Open the monitor file in PhotoShop
- Save a COPY as "monitor2"
- Scale the image to 400 pixels high
- Remove the extra on left
- Rotate the image a bit to the right
- Adjust the color levels and brightness
- Sharpen the image
- Add text
- Distort the text to line up with the screen
- Save the file as PSD
- Save as JPG
- -
- Upload the JPG to your Flickr account
When it's done it will look something like this:
